Hi, I’m Oana Coman, a qualified Integrative Counsellor, member of the BACP ( British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)  who can provide Online Counselling at a pace and in a place you feel comfortable. I also offer walking therapy where we can walk side-by-side and utilise the benefits of nature. In today's society is easy to judge ourselves based on others demands and norms and neglect our values, needs and goals in order to fit in and feel accepted. But in doing that, we lose sight of our own uniqueness value.  

 

 In the way that I work, I listen without judgement, accept your experiences as you have experienced them and provide a space in which you can share your truth and be heard.

Confidentiality 

   Creating a safe space for you 

Ensuring you feel safe and able to speak freely is my priority. Information shared during sessions is kept confidential between you and the counsellor. Information will only be shared outside the counselling relationship, with your permission (where possible) if:

*a judge has court ordered information

* you indicate that a child or vulnerable adult is at risk of abuse/harm

*you indicate you are at risk of abuse/harm

Fees

Each counselling session will last 50 minutes, please see the fees below.

Current Rates:

Free: Initial 15 minute Zoom 'getting to know you' session for all clients, regardless of therapy method chosen

£70.00 per session for online sessions 

£75.00 for walking sessions

Reduced fee for emergency service workers, students, counselling trainees & low income households.

Methods of payment

Payment to be made on the day of the session or in advance. Payment is by BACS transfer.

Cancellations

It is possible to cancel or rearrange your sessions free of charge as long as at least 24 hours notice is given. If less notice is given then 50% payment will be required.

Tuesday 6.00pm - 9.00pm

Wednesday 6.00pm - 9.00pm

Friday 1:00pm - 8.00pm

HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU ARE THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR ME?

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED COUNSELLING?

I offer a free 15 minutes session via the secure platform Zoom where you can ask any questions and we can talk about what brings you to counselling. This helps you to see how it feels to talk to me and I can check that I am the right counsellor to support you with the issue that you bring - if not I can offer alternative therapist options.

Do you need space where you can talk through all the thoughts in your head, without judgement or advice?

Do you have a problem you want to work through?

Do you need somewhere to be seen and heard?

Do you want to learn skills which can help you with self-care?

Then counselling can help!

Counselling is for everybody - you don't need a diagnosis or label

WHY WALKING THERAPY?

Walking whilst talking has been found to stimulate blood flow to the brain which helps you form new thoughts and ideas. The motion of walking expels energy which may have become trapped in your body from trauma. The act of being outside in nature is grounding in itself and can help regulate extreme emotions. You and the counsellor are side-by-side in a neutral space which can make talking feel easier than sitting opposite someone in their office.
